Joana Vieira is conducting a Ph.D. in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution(BIODIV) Doctoral Program by the University of Lisbon starting in 2017, within Ecology of Environmental Change(eChanges) subgroup of cE3c. She holds a Bsc in Biology and Msc in Ecology and Environment Management.
The main aims of her research are: to quantify and model the ecosystem services of climate regulation and air purification provided by urban green infrastructures, using functional diversity of ecological indicators; develop management strategies to mitigate air pollution and urban heat island effect in cities.
